A special issue of the MDPI Sustainability Journal entitled: "Advances in Sustainability Research at the University of Malta" has now come to a closure with 11 papers successfully passing the rigid peer review process over the past twelve months.
The special issue was spearheaded by Prof. Ing. Charles Yousif, together with co-editors Prof. Rebecca Dalli Gonzi, Prof. Marie Avellino and Prof. Ing. Paul Refalo.
All papers have addressed at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals focusing on diverse topics in agriculture, seismology, buildings, energy, transport, solar photovoltaics, urban cities, climate action among children, climate resilience for small islands, and inclusion in "Industry 5" environments.
The 11 papers involved a total of 39 scholars from the University of Malta and other partnering collaborators and have scored 17,326 views and 12 citations by August 2024.
All papers are available as open access manuscripts and can be viewed online.
