Three academics from the Faculty of Education were invited to attend a prestigious four-day conference at Greifswald University, Germany, focused on “AI and Internationalisation in Teacher Education.”
The delegation included Prof. Colin Calleja, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mario Pace, Head of the Department of Languages and Humanities in Education, and Prof. Leonard Busuttil from the Department of Technology and Entrepreneurship Education.
They actively participated in various workshops addressing key topics such as the global application of AI in education, generative AI and prompt engineering, and the role of AI in writing and teacher education. Notably, Prof. Busuttil delivered a presentation followed by a workshop on GenAI's impact on teaching, learning, and assessment.
The conference also fostered discussions on potential collaborations between the Faculty of Education at the University of Malta and international universities, aiming to leverage AI's benefits in teacher training programs.
