Dr Michela Pulis has been awarded the prestigious 2024 BOV Prize in Medicine, for her exceptional academic performance during the 2023/2024 academic year.
She achieved the highest marks in the final qualifying examinations in Medicine at the University of Malta, securing the highly-regarded award.
The BOV Prize in Medicine, established in 2006 through a partnership between Bank of Valletta (BOV) and the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery at the University of Malta, aims to encourage excellence in medical education by recognising outstanding students.
The award includes a commemorative certificate and a monetary prize, which were presented by Charles Azzopardi, Head of CSR at BOV, in the presence of Prof. Stephen Montefort, Head of the Department of Medicine and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
Both Mr Azzopardi and Prof. Montefort praised Dr Pulis for her outstanding dedication and success, with Professor Montefort highlighting how her commitment and passion for medicine led her to achieve top results among 140 students.
