The Department of Translation, Terminology, and Interpreting Studies at the University of Malta is thrilled to announce the launch of the redesigned Postgraduate Diploma and Master in Interpreting Studies. We also warmly welcome the new cohort of 6 Interpreting students, including one student who will be undertaking research into Interpreting at Master level.
During the academic year 2023/2024, the Interpreters' Lab was refurbished, and the programme benefited from a €58,000 grant from DG SCIC, the Directorate-General for Interpretation of the European Commission.
This grant covered the co-funding of new BOSCH interpreting equipment, as well as a study visit to the European institutions and training costs.
Last July, the programme was awarded a €40,000 grant by DG LINC, the Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences of the European Parliament.
We wish the students a productive and transformative learning experience in the year ahead!
