Behind all discoveries in Pathology, there’s often a dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes. Such is the truth at UM as well, and among them is Giulia, a part-time Research Support Officer at the Department of Pathology, a key player who bridges science and operations to drive research forward.
Giulia is a testament to the skills, dedication, expertise and keen eye for detail required to support critical research about congenital heart disease that will ultimately impact patient care.
The relevance of this research to Malta is quite high, considering we have a relatively small gene pool.
Giulia says failures don’t exist – one might have not achieved one goal, but they will certainly have hit others along the way.
She hopes to get the public more aware of what genetics is and how it can really influence our daily lives.
