From Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 November 2024, MEDAC students participated in an intensive programme on ‘Peace Mediation’, applying the tools and skills acquired in a final mediation role play as part of the study-unit DST 5115, 'Diplomacy, Principles & Practices'.

The students were exposed to foundational concepts of peace mediation, design and implementation of peace processes and insights into the craft by senior practitioners. Cutting edge input was provided by an expert on AI in Peace and Mediation.

The certificate programme was organised by the Centre for International Peace Operations (ZIF), and supported by the German Chair at MEDAC and the Embassy of Germany.
