The Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) has unveiled Kokka Fondi 2024, a robust initiative offering €92,000 in financial support to students and student organisations. This marks a €12,000 increase over the previous years, introducing six specialised funds aimed at fostering growth, innovation, and collaboration across diverse areas. These funds underscore KSU’s commitment to creativity, education, sustainability, sports, and youth mobility.
Key Highlights of the Kokka Fondi 2024:

Arts Fund (€12,000)
Designed to ignite creativity among students, this fund supports initiatives such as performances, exhibitions, creative workshops, and local productions. It also offers reimbursement for participation or attendance, encouraging engagement with Malta’s cultural scene. -
Education Fund (€24,000)
Focused on academic excellence, this fund provides resources for research, including data collection, lab equipment, and publication costs. It also facilitates student participation in workshops, conferences, and educational initiatives, equipping them with skills and knowledge to advance their academic and professional journeys. -
Green Fund (€27,000)
Powered by the €7 green contribution from student parking permits, this fund promotes eco-friendly projects and campus-wide sustainability efforts. It supports initiatives like green transport solutions, environmental campaigns, and innovative sustainability projects, making the university a greener place. -
Organisations’ Fund (€12,000)
This fund bolsters collaboration among student organisations, enabling impactful events and initiatives. It focuses on projects related to social inclusion, mental health, well-being, and charitable causes, fostering a supportive university community. -
Sports Fund (€12,000)
Committed to integrating sports into university life, this fund provides financial support for student sports organisations. It enhances access to sports activities, helping to sustain a vibrant athletic culture on campus. -
Eurodesk Fund for Student Organisations (€5,000)
A new addition, this fund, in collaboration with Agenzija Żgħażagħ and Eurodesk Malta, promotes youth mobility. It encourages participation in European projects, scholarships, and volunteering opportunities, while raising awareness about Eurodesk resources and the European Youth Portal. Applicants for this funds will also be considered for the Kokka Informattiva Award at the 2025 KSU Kokka Night.
