On Friday, 6 December, the Rector of Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, Prof. Dr Eng. Ioan Vasile Abrudan, visited the University of Malta (UM). During the visit, Prof. Abrudan met with Prof. Alfred J. Vella, Rector of the University of Malta, as well as Prof. Frank Bezzina, Pro-Rector for International Development and Quality Assurance, and Ms Victoria Gauci, Administrative Deputy Director of UM’s International Office.

The discussions centered on expanding the existing collaboration between the University of Malta and Transilvania University of Brașov. The two institutions explored opportunities for enhanced student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, and collaboration in various academic fields, including the sciences and performing arts.

Prof. Vella welcomed the prospects of collaboration.
