In October the SEA-EU 2.0 Inclusion Expert Group gathered at the University of Brest (UBO) France to promote inclusivity within the alliance. The four-day programme focused on gender inclusion and campus accessibility for students with disabilities. The first two days emphasised inclusive writing, aiming to create a reference document for inclusive communication. The final days addressed strategies for improving campus accessibility.
Representing the University of Malta, Dr Jonathan Borg led a session during the staff week, introducing the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, and showcasing effective methods for adapting teaching practices to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities. His insights provided attendees with a practical understanding of how to create more inclusive academic experiences.
The event also served as a valuable networking platform, strengthening ties between SEA-EU partners and fostering collaboration on future projects.
Participation was supported by the International Office through Erasmus+ funds and the SEA-EU Office.
