St Paul’s Shipwreck, one of the most detailed maritime accounts from antiquity, and originally recounted in the Acts of the Apostles, provides a rare first-hand narrative of a shipwreck in the ancient Mediterranean.
This episode is vividly recorded through the eyes of an eyewitness, a unique perspective which makes this shipwreck a compelling subject of study for academics and scholars from various fields – history, archaeology and theology, to name a few.
Together with Heritage Malta and Fr John M. McManamon, Prof. Timmy Gambin, a maritime archaeologist from the University’s Department of Classics & Archaeology within the Faculty of Arts, has co-authored this 96-page new publication which is an exploration of where the shipwreck of St Paul is situated and other matters that arise from this very question.
The book is available online from Heritage Malta Publishing, for the price of EUR15.00 per copy.
