Kristov Scicluna, Content Creator from the Marketing, Communications & Alumni Office at the University of Malta, recently participated in a SEA-EU Photography Staff Week hosted at the University of Brest, France. Themed around photography as a communication tool, the event brought together university staff from across the SEA-EU alliance who use visual storytelling to promote their institutions.
Participants were guided through both technical and creative aspects of photography, including camera operation and post-production techniques.
Kristov described the experience as certainly a positive and gainful one, being amongst fellow photographers from various different backgrounds and cultures. The learning experience was also enriched by the speakers who were all accomplished French photographers who specialised in different fields such as architecture, lab and portrait photography. The opportunity to learn more about photography and experience a different culture served to broaden his horizons and create new connections.
Participation was coordinated by the SEA-EU Office at UM and supported by the International Office via the Erasmus+ funding.
