‘Gingerline’ a Maltese band comprising students of the University of Malta Junior College will be participating in the second international High Schools Music Contest which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey on the 29 April, 2016.
The band includes Ian Ellul (electric violin), Melchior Giordimaina (lead guitar), Nicholas Camilleri (bass guitar), Mark Vella (drums) and Adel Montanaro as main singer, and will be accompanied by lecturers Mro. Manoel Pirotta and Mr Ronald Grech Santucci.
End Productions are organizing the event, under the leadership of Mr Serhat Hacipasalioglu, founder and president of the contest. Mr Hacipasalioglu will this year represent San Marino in the Eurovision song contest. The festival for High Schools in Turkey has been running for nineteen years, but went international last year. Besides Turkey, six other countries will be participating in the competition.
Maltese composer and singer, Mr Philip Vella, has been invited to form part of the international jury.

Mr Paul Xuereb Principal of Gian Frangisk Abela Junior College and The World Association of Festivals and Artists (WAFA).
