The Rectorate in collaboration with the Faculty for Social Wellbeing organised the Conference ‘Towards a truly accessible university’ on 25 November 2016.
The objective of the Conference was to identify ways of overcoming existing barriers that are encountered by students on the autism spectrum and other learning difficulties. While these students have ample support during their primary and secondary education, they seem to face difficulties at tertiary level. The Conference brought together relevant stakeholders: students, academics and experts, parents’ organisations and policy-makers.
