Professor Angela Abela was invited to participate in the 1st International Forum for Women’s Brain and Mental Health organised by Women's Brain Project.

The Forum was held in December 2017 at the Rolex Learning Centre of the Ecole Polytechnique (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Prof. Abela was on the panel discussing challenges faced by female caregivers.

Panelists included Professor Mary Mittleman from New York University, Dr Christin Bexelius from Roche, Adriana Bishop, a caregiver, former Vice Director General of the Ministry of Health Tanya Dussey-Cavassini, and Dr Rajendra Dhamane who runs an NGO working with abandoned women suffering from mental illness in India.

The panel was expertly moderated by Meryl Comer, an Emmy award-winning reporter, producer and business talk show host as well as President of the Geoffrey Beene Foundation of the Alzheimer's Initiative in the United States.
