The University of Malta Students Futsal Team has made it to the Division One playoffs after finishing as top dogs of the Division One pool during the regular season of local Futsal! Now, the team ventures into unknown territory, and will embark on their first ever play-off fixtures, and the stakes could not be higher... 

Their opponents during the semi-final on Thursday 15 March are Tarxien JMI Futsal, a solid team against whom the University team have enjoyed mixed fortunes during the course of the season. In the first round of the FMA Gatorade Championship, they had the better of the spoils, with a convincing 8-3 win over Tarxien. In February of 2018, in their last fixture against the Southsiders, it was Tarxien who edged it beating the Knights 7 goals to 6 in a fantastic game for the neutrals. 

The semi-final will be a delicately poised affair, with both teams vying to reach their first ever Final, which will be against the winners of the Mriehel ESS vs Pieta SS Nordiska clash to be held on the same day at 20:00. There will be a feast of Futsal with four robust and competitive teams challenging for Malta's Division One title!

The Knights cannot reach this historic milestone alone, and would like to call upon the faithful student body to help crown a season of great progress and determined struggles with a win in next Thursday's semi-final. Support for the University team has always been a cut above the rest, and the Whites expect to be carried home by YOU as the 6th man!
