The Department of English Student Association (DESA) has donated €235 worth of books to the Faculty of Arts Library at the University of Malta. The books were presented to the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dominic Fenech. They include several key texts for students of English as well as useful anthologies that were not yet available at University of Malta libraries. The money for the books was raised through fundraising events organised by DESA, and the donation is meant as a gesture of appreciation for the Department of English, the Faculty of Arts, and the University of Malta.
The books, which are now available for reference at the Faculty of Arts Library, are: Irony’s Edge, by Linda Hutcheon; Irony, by Claire Colebrook; Critical Theory Today, by Lois Tyson; Ex-Centric Migrations, by Hakim Abderrezak, Creative Criticism, edited by Stephen Benson and Clare Connors; and The Norton Anthology of English Literature Vol. 1, edited by Stephen Greenblatt.
