Dr Marceline Naudi attended the 27th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) in Vienna last week.
Whilst there, she spoke at a side event on the European Observatory of Femicide, organised through the Maltese Embassy to Austria. Other speakers included Barbara Stelmaszek, Research Officer of the Observatory, Ksenia Meshkova, Advisory Board member of the Observatory, and Dubravka Simonovic, UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences. The Observatory is hosted by the Department of Gender Studies.
Dr Naudi also spoke at another special event as first vice-president of GREVIO, on ending impunity for femicide, organised by ACUNS. At the event, ACUNS launched its new publication on Femicide, Volume IX, which has a chapter dedicated to the European Observatory on Femicide.
