Dr Philip von Brockdorff, Head, Department of Economics shall be one of the main speakers at the conference titled: Beyond 2020: addressing insularity challenges, on employment opportunities for EU Islands.

The conference is being held in Italy as part of the debate on the role of cohesion policy beyond 2020. This conference will specifically deal with the economic insularity challenges of islands in the EU, and Dr von Brockdorff's address shall focus on the increased dependency on foreign workers for sustaining Malta's economic growth.
