On Tuesday 11 December 2018, Judge Professor David J. Attard, Chancellor of the University of Malta and Director of the International Maritime Law Institute, presented to Professor Alfred Vella, Rector of the University of Malta, a copy of the three-volume edited publication which Professor Attard published with Oxford University Press. The three-volume publication entitled The IMLI Treatise on Global Ocean Governance was donated to the Rector so that the Dean places it at the University of Malta Library.

A second copy was also donated to the Faculty of Laws and Theology Library.

Professor Kevin Aquilina, Dean of the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta, and academic staff at the International Maritime Law Institute attended the book donation ceremony.
