Volume 27.2 of the Journal of Mediterranean Studies has now been published. Titled, ‘Religious Marriages in the Mediterranean’, this Special Issue of JMS addresses questions—at once urgent and intriguing—about religious marriage in the Mediterranean: interfaith marriage, marriage conversions, the relationship between sectarian-religious politics and national identities, religious marriage in popular culture, and further afield.
This Special Issue is guest-edited by Dr Ibtisam Sadegh, Dr David E. Zammit and Prof. Susan F. Hirsch, and features essays by Prof Paul Sant-Cassia, Dr Christine B. Lindner, Dr Shifra Kisch, Prof. Gianluca Parolin, Dr Federica Sona, Dr Benedetta Panchetti, and a critical introduction from the guest editors. The issue also features a book review from Prof. Conrad Thake.
