Prof. Dr Ronald Batenburg from the Netherlands Institute for Health Services Research and Faculty of Social Sciences, Radboud University, Netherlands was invited by the Department of Health Services Management, Faculty of Health Sciences between 27 and 29 March, 2019 to deliver a workshop titled 'Towards Research-Informed Policies in Health Systems – with a Focus on Health Workforce Planning'.

The workshop was open to students and to HR specialists employed at Mater Dei and within the Ministry of Health, Malta.

Prof. Sandra C. Buttigieg, Head of Department of HSM, welcomed Prof. Dr Ronald Batenburg who also delivered a well-attended public lecture titled 'Understanding Skill-Mix Developments and Task Shifting: An Agenda for Health Workforce Research'.
