The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), in collaboration with the Chemistry Department, held its 7th Annual Meeting C-H Activation in Organic Synthesis (CHAOS) on 24-25 October, 2019.  Prof. Giovanna Bosica convened the conference

COST  is a funding organisation for the creation of research networks, called COST Actions. These networks offer an open space for collaboration among scientists across Europe (and beyond) and thereby give impetus to research advancements and innovation.

The main aim of the COST Action CA15106 C-H Activation in Organic Synthesis, CHAOS, is to render C-H activation as a truly versatile, practical and general tool for organic chemistry, which is applicable to both industry and academia.
