THINK, the University of Malta’s research magazine, was published with Malta Today on Sunday 8 December, 2019. It may be picked up for free on campus, available on Issuu, followed on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
What keeps you going when you face obstacles? What are our efforts ultimately for? Having looked into ideas about home, health, and love this year, THINK magazine delves into the theme of Purpose. The 30th issue of the research magazine has just been released around the University of Malta campus and at events.
The magazine celebrates the achievements of Malta’s researchers, discussing new applications for artificial intelligence, analysing the development of the University’s solar power generation, and a joint experiment by biologists and astronomers, as well as making a case for a circular economy.
THINK does not shy away from policy-relevant debates in our society either, offering an evidence-based perspective on teachers’ salaries, overtourism, and removal of trees, among other topics.
THINK’s team of writers, editors, illustrators and designers wish its readers a happy holiday season and is looking forward to inviting everyone to the next THINK Soapbox event – an opportunity to hear some of the magazine’s authors and researchers presenting their ideas.
