The latest issue of Postcolonial Directions in Education, Vol. 10 No 1, has just been published (in July 2021).
This bi-annual peer reviewed journal, published by the Faculty of Education at UM, is open source and has an international advisory board including some of the leading scholars in Postcolonial Studies and Education.
It is a miscellaneous issue featuring articles by Gayatri Spivak and co-researchers, Nahla Abdo (tribute to the recently departed Nawal El Saadawi), Handel Kashope Wright and Yao Xiao, Pam Christie, Mariateresa Muraca, Dip Kapoor and Hasriadi Masalam and Pierre Orelus.
Co-editor Prof. Peter Mayo pens a review of Rebecca Tarlau's 2019 book on the MST.
Issue number 2 for this year, to be published in December, will be a special one celebrating the centenary of Paulo Freire's birth and will include articles by Henry Giroux and Antonia Darder among others.
