These projects are selected from research proposals submitted by University of Malta resident academics through a competitive call for applications. The proposals are evaluated by a pool of international experts, where one project from each of four thematic areas is selected for award. Through this scheme, academics are given support to embark on high quality research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and innovation, leaving a positive impact on the community, the economy and the environment."
