The Oxford Machine Learning Summer School (OxML, 2022) was organised by AI for Global Goals, in collaboration with the CIFAR Canada and the University of Oxford's Deep Medicine Programme. The programme was attended by 250 selected participants from 109 countries and took place at St Catherine's College, Oxford.
The Machine Learning (ML) programme which was held between 7 August 2022 and 14 August 2022 was divided into three segments: ML Fundamentals, ML Health Care and ML Finance. It covered subjects such as Computer Vision, Anomaly Detection, Natural Language Processing, Time Series Analysis, Bayesian Models, Probabilistic Learning, Causal Inference, Graph Neural Networks, Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning. These machine learning techniques can be applied to various disciplines.
Sameer Kumar Jasra is currently an RSOII and PhD student with the Institute of Aerospace Technologies. His PhD research focuses on the application of machine learning techniques to flight data. analysis. Throughout the summer school, Sameer had the opportunity to present his research findings. Sameer’s PhD is supported by project WAGE and supervised by Dr Robert Camilleri and Dr Ing. Gianluca Valentino. In this event he attended classes and had the opportunity to present some of his findings.
WAGE (R&I-2019-009-T) is a EUR 195,000 project financed by the Malta Council for Science & Technology, for and on behalf of the Foundation for Science and Technology, through the FUSION: R&I Technology Development Programme.
