Promoting ‘Prosthesis Development’ Research in Dresden, Germany

Prof. Dr Ing. Jonathan C. Borg and RSO Nicholas Patiniott from the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering have recently visited the Technical University of Dresden where they met Prof. Kristin Paetzold-Byhain (Chair of Virtual Product Development) and key staff from her research team.

During this visit, they had the chance of exchanging issues emerging from the on-going Above the Knee Prosthesis (AKP) research results as well as discuss the evolving ‘adaptive prosthesis product service system intended to cater for the changing needs of amputees.

This visit forms part of the PREMIER research project funded through ERDF.01.124 TRAKE.
