The first edition of the University of Malta Research Expo was a great success with many attendees filling up the Aula Magna conference hall located within the University’s Valletta Campus.
Together with many academics, students and other research support officers present, the Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella, labelled this event as a “festival for research” highlighting the importance of this component at the University’s core. He joined Prof. Ing. Simon G. Fabri, Pro-Rector for Research and Knowledge Transfer in thanking several offices, departments and staff who all work together in promoting the ongoing research through various initiatives.
During the seven and a half hour long event, a number of presentations were delivered in the areas of humanities, social sciences and STEM which at certain times included as many as seven simultaneous sessions being presented at one go within the various meeting rooms located across the Valletta Campus.
On behalf of the University of Malta, we congratulate those researchers who took part in this Research Expo, whilst looking forward to next year’s cohort.
