Dr Isabelle Gatt was invited as keynote speaker at the first Crossroads of the Invisible Theatres in Education and in School (CITIES). This international conference was organised by AGITA in Lozzo, Italy. It brought together important international theatre practitioners, university academics, educators, administrators and politicians to discuss interdisciplinary and dynamic perspectives while networking to find new possibilities of bringing the huge potential of Drama, theatre and schools together.
Isabelle Gatt was invited to specifically present the Maltese undergraduate and master degree model of teacher-training in creativity and Drama education used at the University of Malta. In the same panel, moderated by Dr Maria D'Ambrosio (UNISOB, Napoli) were David Allen (Artistic Director, Midland Actors Theatre, Birmingham) and Marion Kuester (Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Rostock, Germany). Among the international speakers and workshop facilitators were renowned Drama specialists Patrice Baldwin and Erika Piazzoli.
