The Faculty for Social Wellbeing has launched a documentary which tackles the stories of a number of people coming from different walks of life and who are struggling with loneliness.
This documentary also includes the contribution of a number of academics who look into this problem which the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Andrew Azzopardi refers to as "the modern pandemic".
This documentary follows another documentary on the same topic in 2018 and two national studies held in 2019 and replicated in 2022 which surfaced a problem of mega proportions with over 54% of the people interviewed over 11 years of age feeling lonely.
In fact, the most affected demographic is that between the 11 and 19 years of age.
The documentary may be viewed online.
