A delegation from Xiamen University headed by Professor Shi Dalin, Vice-President of Xiamen University, visited the University of Malta on 4 November 2024 to attend the annual board meeting of the Confucius Institute and to celebrate its 15th anniversary. 

The delegation met with Prof. Alfred Vella, Rector of the University of Malta, the Directors of the Confucius Institute Prof. Dennis Mizzi and Prof. Aixia Nie, the Director of the International Office Ms Sefania Agius Fabri, the University Secretary Mr Simon Sammut, and other representatives of the University of Malta.

Both Prof. Shi and Prof. Vella expressed their satisfaction with the Confucius Institute's work and look forward to strengthening the collaboration between the two universities. The Confucius Institute will continue to promote Chinese language education and culture in Malta and thus serve as an important bridge between the two countries.

Prof. Vella and Prof. Shi exchanged gifts as memorabilia of this special occasion.
