UM PhD Student Sameer Kumar Jasra, and his supervisor Prof. Robert Camilleri from the Institute of Aerospace Technologies, were invited to present their research to the “New and Emerging Aviation Technologies” (NEAT) series.
The Conference was organised by the Federal Aviation Administration and was aimed at offering internal training to US government departments linked with aerospace and aviation.
It was attended by the US Department of Transport, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and the US Department of Defence. Sameer's presentation focused on "AI Powered Insights: Anomaly Detection & Analysis of Flight Data using Machine Learning", highlighting the research findings during the PhD.
Sameer is co-supervised by Prof. Ing Gianluca Valentino from the Dept. of Communications and Computer Engineering.
