Dr Amy Camilleri Zahra, Head of the Department of Disability Studies at the University of Malta, recently visited Kiel University to further collaboration on inclusion initiatives.

This visit built on a joint event held last year for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

During her time at Kiel, Dr Camilleri Zahra met with key representatives from the Office for Diversity and Anti Discrimination, the Central Office for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunity and Family, and the Institute for Inclusive Education.

These meetings aimed to exchange best practices and explore strategies to enhance inclusivity in higher education.

As part of her visit, she also delivered a lecture, showcasing her expertise and reinforcing the University of Malta’s commitment to advancing inclusion and accessibility through international collaboration.

 Reflecting on the visit, Dr Camilleri Zahra shared, "It was a very enjoyable experience".
