The Dean of Science Awards for outstanding students of the Faculty of Science took place on 14 March, 2025, continuing a tradition established in 1995. The ceremony, held at the ICT Auditorium, Msida campus, welcomed award-winning students along with their relatives and event sponsors.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the Dean, Prof. Emmanuel Sinagra, who congratulated the students and acknowledged the vital role of their families in supporting their academic journey. He also emphasised that this day is a celebration not only for the students but also for the Faculty and its staff, whose dedication and guidance have contributed to the students' success.
Prof. Sinagra expressed his gratitude to the sponsors, whose support made the event possible. He highlighted that the awards, linked to their respective sectors, serve as an encouragement to the recipients. He also noted that the diverse range of sponsoring organisations—including Banking, Environmental Management, Pharmaceuticals, Retail,
Consultancy, Energy, and National Statistics—demonstrates the broad career opportunities available to Science graduates. Their continued sponsorship is a testament to their confidence in the Faculty’s academic excellence and their appreciation for the contributions of its graduates to key industries that drive the nation’s economy and development.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Sinagra extended his gratitude to the Deputy Dean and the Faculty's administrative team for their role in organising the event. This year’s award winners for the Dean’s List were:
