Between 22 February and 1 March, a delegation from the Faculty of Education, comprising Prof. Carmel Borg, Prof. Colin Calleja, and Dr Michelle Attard Tonna, conducted a series of nine seminars at Kotebe University of Education in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Prof. Carmel Borg facilitated sessions on the intersection of Democracy and Education, emphasising the role of education in fostering civic engagement, critical thinking, and social justice.
Prof. Colin Calleja led seminars on inclusive education, focusing on strategies to create equitable learning environments that cater to diverse student needs. Dr Michelle Attard Tonna conducted sessions on teacher development, highlighting the continuum of teacher learning and professional growth.
Alongside these academic engagements, the delegation participated in high-level meetings facilitated by H.E. Ronald Micallef, Ambassador of Malta to Ethiopia. These interactions aimed to foster academic collaborations, promote knowledge exchange, and strengthen partnerships in higher education and research.
