On Tuesday 18 March 2025, several researchers across the University of Malta community showcased their ongoing research projects to Malta's President, Hon. Myriam Spiteri Debono during a visit she paid to the Msida Campus.
Among the projects on demonstration were ones on stroke and its prevention, and molecular biology analysis of the sea around the Maltese Islands.
The President acknowledged the leap made by the University of Malta in terms of research and innovation, noting that this has led to new horizons.
During academic year 2023/2024, the University embarked on 188 new research projects, and its academics published more than 940 publications.
