The University of Malta Library is organising a training workshop on SAGE Research Methods Core database.
This workshop will give you a thorough and interactive introduction to SAGE Research Methods, a database containing thousands of resources, dedicated to research methods across a wide range of subject areas which are suited to all levels of researchers.
Date: Tuesday, 5 November 2019
Time: 10:00 - 12:00
Venue: TR003 (IT Services)
Target audience: Faculty members who are teaching Research Methods courses, supervising researchers, or those conducting their own research projects, as well as Library staff who support research activity across the university’s academic community.
The speaker for the workshop will be Ms Chloe Turner who is the training specialist for SAGE.
The workshop will cover content and tools you can use in order to improve the research skills and capabilities, and build your confidence and experience in using the database for future study and research projects.
SAGE Research Methods can be your guide in overcoming common research challenges, whether you want to conduct more effective literature reviews, construct a manageable research question, learn how to prepare data ready for analysis, disseminate your research more widely, or understand challenging research methods terminology.
The final interactive activity involves designing a reading list for an information skills workshop, lecture, or a current assignment or project you are working on. The reading list can then be used outside of the session to complement on what you are working on at the moment.
Participants will have plenty of time to ask questions. By the end of the session, everyone will be ready to start exploring the platform independently and confidently.
