The Government of Malta is offering scholarships for academic year 2020/21 tenable at the College of Europe, in Bruges (Belgium) and Natolin (Poland) to enable students to participate in one of the following areas of specialisation:-
Bruges University
- MA in European Economic Studies,
- Master of European Law,
- MA in European Political and Governance Studies or
- MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies
- MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies
The scholarship cover one academic year commencing September 2020 and ending June 2021.
Applicants for any of the above-mentioned specialisations must already hold a Second Class Upper (or better) local or foreign approved University degree. In case of the economic and legal departments, applicants must already have a degree in a relevant subject namely economics and law. Applicants must have also a good knowledge of the French language.
The age limit is in principle 30 years.
It is imperative that applicants must apply online directly to the College of Europe by the deadline of 15 January 2020.
Applicants are to apply also with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The application forms are available from the Ministry’s own website. Applicants are to include also a copy of all documents submitted electronically through the College of Europe website. These are to be submitted to the Scholarships Section at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, 18, Zachary Street, Valletta, from 08:00 to 12:00. Closing date for these scholarships is by not later than 15 January 2019.
Applications from Government and Parastatal employees and from the Private Sector will not be considered unless recommended by their Head of Department/Parastatal Organisation/employer respectively.
Selected candidates will be required to sign an undertaking to the effect that on completion of studies they would be available to work in Malta. They may also be required to enter into a contract to serve the government of Malta upon completion of studies.
Late applications will not be considered. The Board’s decision will be final.
