A celebration of artistic talent and musical growth is underway to enhance cultural exchanges within the SEA-EU’s musical scene.
If you love creating songs and wish to reach a wider European audience, this is the Festival for you!
The University of Malta, in collaboration with KSU and the UM SEA-EU Outreach Subcommittee, is inviting all students and staff members to join in the first edition of the virtual SEA-EU Music Festival, with the participation of five other coastal universities forming the SEA-EU Alliance.
Staff and students alike are invited to submit their song entries as a recorded clip material shared via Youtube. The song must be an original composition but does not have to be recorded specifically for this festival.
Amateur or professional songwriters, singers, bands, duets, are welcome and any genre of music is eligible. For participating groups (two members or more), only one member of the band / group needs to be a UM student or staff member.
The top 3 entries representing the University of Malta will be chosen through the number of likes obtained on the UM social media.
Winning entries will get their songs played during the live streamed online SEA-EU Music Festival later on this year.
Entries are welcome all year round but if you wish to participate in the 1st edition of the festival, make sure to share your song by the 31 October.
More information can be accessed on the SEA-EU website and to register fill in and submit the online registration form.
