The EUIPO has opened up applications for its Academic Research Visits. Visitors will have the possibility to consult all the online and physical material of the EUIPO Library at their premises in Alicante for a fixed time period.
Applicants can opt for either a Short Term Visit (1-5 days) or a Long Term Visit (15 days - 2 months) to the EUIPO premises for research purposes affiliated with the University. In the case of Short Term Visits, visitors would be granted full access to their library however will need to notify them on the topic of the research project and any specific materials required beforehand. The application must be submitted 2 months in advance.
Along with having full access to the EUIPO library, Long Term visitors will be able to consult with EUIPO experts and have a number of set meetings with them. The application must be submitted 3 months in advance and must provide information on the research project at hand, the research material needed, and what kind of EUIPO experts will be consulted in conjunction with the project.
Applications are open to anyone affiliated with the University and working on a research project year-round and visits can be as frequent as needed. EUIPO will not cover any travel or subsistence expenses. In order to be considered for a visit, one must first fill in the Application Form and then send it to the relevant organisation by email. When completing the Application Form, please remember to include: the exact dates of the Research Visit, any specific material you would like the EUIPO Library to acquire for your research, and which EUIPO Department you would like to consult (applicable only for Long Term Visits).
Applications are open throughout the year except between the 15 December to the 15 January.
