The short course “Create – Protect – Innovate: Bringing ideas to market” being organised by the European Patent Office is now open to include University of Malta Masters students as well as PhD students.
The aim of the course is to complement existing IP education with hands-on practitioners’ perspective and inform students on how to use the patent system to support innovation. The course covers topics such as patents, IP Commercialisation and the use of different IP Rights. It will teach you how to protect inventions, bring them to market and will provide valuable insights on the world of innovation.
The course is divided into two Parts: Part I (Entry level) and Part II (Advanced level). Both consist of; five self-paced online learning modules (composed of high-quality videos, podcasts, and interactive educational elements), two tutored forums, a final marked exercise and three live online sessions. These online sessions will be held from 16:00 to 17:30 (CEST) on Zoom

Upon successful completion of all the relevant course activities you will be awarded an official EPO certificate and will be eligible to have the course recognised by Degree+ on your transcript.
