The Office for Human Resources Management & Development will be offering a First Aid Course for all UM members of staff in June 2024. This course will be delivered at the Msida campus.

This course will cover a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations, provide a first aid response to a casualty, delegate tasks to bystanders, and engage and inform the emergency services. This course covers first aid protocols for adults, children and infants by providing a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders.

By the end of this training the participants will be:

• able to recognise life-threatening situations;
• able to offer vital assistance before more professional help arrives;
• able to provide single-person CPR on an adults, children and babies;
• qualified as a workplace first aid person.
