The Knowledge Transfer Office would like to announce that the application deadline for this years EPO CodeFest has been extended! This year, the EPO is diving deep into the transformative power of AI to unlock new insights from patent data, aligning with our Strategic Plan 2028’s goal to accelerate technological advancements.

The 2024 edition focuses on how generative AI can revolutionise the access, interpretation and utilisation of patent data. Residents of EPO member states are in for the chance to develop AI applications that make patent information more accessible and impactful for everyone. This challenge isn’t just a competition - it's a chance to contribute to a transformative initiative that’s shaping the future of patent systems worldwide!

Create an AI application for bulk data assessment and compete for cash prizes of up to EUR 20,000. The deadline for submission of the proposal is 16 August, 23:59 CEST.
