The Department of Information Policy & Governance at the Faculty of Media & Knowledge Sciences, University of Malta, in collaboration with the Human Rights Directorate (HRD) and the Council of Europe (CoE), is pleased to announce the upcoming training session, Advancing Malta’s Anti-Trafficking Strategy: Sustainable Survivor Engagement and Digital Evidence Training, scheduled for 22 and 27 November 2024, in the MAKS Faculty Building, Room 414.
Hosted under the EU-funded DISRUPT project, this comprehensive training will bring together experts, practitioners, and advocates to explore critical strategies for addressing child trafficking. Over the course of two days, attendees will learn about mechanisms employed in online grooming, online indicators of child trafficking as well as gaining insights into victim-centred approaches for digital evidence collection.
The training will also focus on promising ways to improve the Maltese policy and legal framework so as to strengthen the use of digital evidence in the investigation and prosecution of trafficking cases.
