Thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between Malta and the United Arab Emirates Government Exchange Office in February 2023, a number of government experience exchange opportunities in research and innovation have materialised, and students have been benefitting from them.
One of these opportunities are the Global Best M-Gov Award, the annual awards organised by the UAE government as part of the World Government Summit, designed to encourage students, researchers, government agencies, institutions, private sector companies and start-ups to develop innovative solutions using the latest technologies.
Xjenza Malta is proudly participating in the Award, which is open to students from public and private universities, and submissions will be evaluated by an independent jury panel.
Winners will be honoured at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, taking place from 11 to 13 February 2025. Three winners will be honoured in the current edition of the Award, with the top winner prize set to $50,000 and the second prize to $25,000 and the third to $10.000.
