KSU and the Green Travel Plan are currently working with creators of the car pooling app 'Bumalift' to identify a long-term solution for car pooling to University. Commuters who get a lift will have to pay a small fee (less than the bus fare), whilst the drivers will collect tokens every time they give a lift to anyone; the tokens can then be exchanged for vouchers (example fuel vouchers).
