The Library has recently licensed the Electronic Medicines Compendium.

The Electronic Medicines Compendium (EMC) contains up to date, easily accessible information about medicines licensed for use in the UK. Over 250 pharmaceutical companies add information about their medicines to EMC.

EMC has more than 14,000 documents, all of which have been checked and approved by either the UK or European government agencies which license medicines. These agencies are the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Access to the Electronic Medicines Compendium is available on campus and remotely to all UM staff and students holding a UM IT Account.

To access this database:

• Visit the Library website
• Login via your UM IT Account (top right)
• Click on Databases
