Hello Newspoint readers!
We have paused like we usually do for a couple of weeks during Summer but have been very busy trying to rethink our approach to make Newspoint better for you.
As the University's journaling portal, Newspoint strives to document all that is happening at the University of Malta in the best ways possible.
Here are some of the changes introduced today:
- Changes in schedule: Newspoint Update (Friday)
The newsletter known as 'Newspoint Update' will be changing its day for the first time since its first release. Expect this to be delivered to your inbox every Wednesday as of 6 September 2023.
- Changes in schedule: Newspoint Extra (Wednesday)
The Newspoint Extra supplement will now be sent on Monday instead of Wednesday. Please note that this newsletter is sent on a request-by-request basis (when applicable).
- Categorisation
The layout of the Newspoint Update newsletter will remain mostly the same but will be based on themes that will help categorise the news, events and notices included. This will be colour coded to help readers identify the section/s they are most likely to be interested in.
- Spreading positivity
We think that it is high time to spread some positive vibes through this newsletter. As such, unless there is very important news that needs to be featured right on top, the spot will be occupied by a short motivational or inspirational quote.
We are still working on other ideas that we think will improve the readability and utility that Newspoint stands for, and hope that with these changes, you will get to know all that is happening on and off campus, in a better way.
Do contact us if you have any questions about any of the above.
If you're interested in submitting your item to Newspoint, then we recommend you taking a quick look at our 'Get Published' page, which explains what is required in more detail.
Stay tuned for more!
