On the recommendation of the Senate, the UM Council approved the setting up of two new departments within the University.
Firstly, the Institute of Tourism, Travel & Culture (ITTC) is now part of the Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy and will henceforth be referred to as the Department of Tourism Management.
Secondly, the International Institute for Baroque Studies has been incorporated within the Faculty for Built Environment and has been renamed the Department of History of Architecture.
In this regard, the Council appointed Prof. Denis De Lucca as Head of the Department of History of Architecture, and Prof. Marie Avellino as Head of the Department of Tourism Management.
We wish both departments productive times ahead.
