The Science Communication Office is excited to announce several upcoming projects where you too can get involved.
No previous experience is required.
1. Post-intervention Survey in Gżira:
This project runs from November to December and involves conducting door-to-door surveys in the Gżira area.
Volunteers will collect data related to the VARCITIES project, which focuses on micro-greening and community engagement. Each survey takes approximately 20-30 minutes, and volunteers will work in groups to complete a minimum of five surveys. Shifts are available from Monday to Saturday, with no surveys conducted on Sundays.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and have a good level of English.
Volunteers will be provided with certificates.

2. JUSTNature Conference:
Scheduled for 12-14 November at The Notch Conference Centre in San Gwann, this conference focuses on co-creating nature-based solutions across Europe.
Volunteers will assist by capturing event moments through photography and ushering attendees.
Volunteers will receive a certificate for their participation.

3. Road STEAMer, USC2024:
This hands-on astronomy activity about planet Pluto will take place on 29 November from 10:00 to 12:45 at the Campus Hub in Msida.
Volunteers will help with material collection and assist the educator during the activity.
Certificates will be provided for this role.
